Over the last 15 years I have found myself in organizations facing unique challenges. Firstly working in the banking sector during the boom and subsequent bust, from there I joined the agency established by the Irish government in response to the financial crisis tasked with managing €74 billion of loans and their underlying securities. I thought I would never work in such a unique environment again but find myself now working for a leader in diagnostic healthcare during a pandemic!

In all these situations my role has generally involved working with the business to achieve objectives and identifying opportunities to do so. A recurring theme is that using data analytics to deliver insights has proven to be invaluable over and over. The principles on achieving this remain the same but the advances in technology in recent years have made capabilities that could only be dreamed of before now achievable with more power than ever in the hands of analysts to deliver.
