SPEAKER PROFILE

Cristiana Dinea is the EMEA Master Instructor for the Deep Learning Institute (DLI) and a PhD student in machine learning at “Politehnica” University of Timisoara. She has extensive experience in deep learning for medical imaging , particularly cysts and cancer detection on the dental X-rays.As a master instructor she conducts instructor certifications ,trains instructors in designing and integrating active learning strategies and delivers workshops.
She was awarded “First Prize” at the International Congress of Medicine for Students and Young Doctors in Apr,2010 for the cephalometric analysis knowledge based software on the dental X-rays.Several European universities use this software as a tool for the orthodontic treatment plan.
Prior to joining NVIDIA, she worked on developing and implementing GPU-accelerated algorithms for pedestrian dynamics and massive crowd simulation for the Frankfurt Airport.
